For the first time in a long time NIU has something to be proud of, and that is a winning football program.

But where was the student body at the NIU vs. Arkansas State game? There were not as many people there as I had anticipated.

That was a good game and a good win for the Huskies. For the people who did not attend or were unable, you missed one heck of a show.

With men’s and women’s basketball season just around the corner, I hope to see plenty of students at the fieldhouse.

Let’s give our teams something to play for: an outstanding student body. And why not? It’s free for students.
