NIU selects attorney as visiting professor

Chicago attorney Leona Green will be a visiting professor at NIU’s College of Law during the 1991 spring semester.
Green was a superintendent of employment in the Chicago Park District’s personnel department. She also was a senior attorney for labor relations and served as EEO officer in the city’s department of law.
Green will teach state and local law, as well as employment and discrimination law at NIU.
“I am looking forward to having a vigorous interchange of ideas with students and working closely with the faculty and staff at Northern Illinois,” Green said.
Green’s other work experience includes her employment with the United States Merit Systems Protection Board and the Chicago Housing Authority. She also has worked for CNA Insurance Companies.
Green is a native of Pine Bluff, Ark., and she holds a J.D. degree from Northwestern University School of Law in Chicago.
While attending Northwestern, Green received fellowships from the university’s Center for Urban Affairs and the United States Department of Urban Development.
