Vote in election
September 19, 1990
With the elections for Student Association senate coming closer, students should be aware of voter apathy. Voter apathy is rampant on this campus.
The Northern Star claims to have a circulation of 25,000, which leads us to believe there are close to that many possible voters.
Voting is a right and a privilege; exercise your right to vote. Then, and only then, can you protest, disagree or agree with the actions of your government.
The SA acts as a voice for all students. The SA defends all NIU students’ rights and freedoms on a university, local, state and federal level.
The SA strives to improve the NIU environment, services and policies. The senate is in charge of representing students in all areas that concern students.
Voting only takes a few minutes of your busy schedule and the booths should be conveniently located on campus. Support your Student Association and vote for the candidates that will best represent you.
We will try to make sure you are fairly represented.
