There is a simple solution to the GLU and ROTC issue. The solution is to get rid of the NIU constitution.

Last semester the NIU admissions office closed admissions for this semester to all white students of non-exceptional academic ability.

The admissions board discriminated on the basis of race, which is a clear violation of the NIU constitution. However, most students did not care. Nobody, (any organization) condemned the admissions board for racial discrimination.

On the other hand, there are people willing to kill or get killed to ban ROTC on campus.

First of all, ROTC is another way that students can earn money to afford education at NIU. Secondly, our country, needs good men and women to keep the defense (your protection against terrorism at home) up.

The military does not need homosexuals to break down the system. The fact that remains is that most people do not accept homosexuality.

Besides God said to Moses (Leviticus 18:22) “You shall not lie with a male as with a woman. It is an abomination.” The military is not doing anything wrong.

Instead of standing up for a small group, I wish that more people realize what the U.S. and God do for them and stand up for what is right.

Lets throw out the NIU constitution. It does not mean anything by allowing the admissions board to discriminate on the basis of race but not allowing ROTC to stand up for what is right.
