Did you specifically request Scott Stocking to write a controversial letter in order to boost activity on your editorial page?

In the past two weeks I have seen two letters asking students to use this page to express their opinions. I find it interesting that one day after the last request we have Mr. Stocking’s outrageous position on morality and ROTC.

If this piece is specifically designed to promote readership then I commend you on your ingenuity. If not, then this campus should respond to the archaic, bigoted and twisted point of view espoused by Mr. Stocking.

I cannot think of a campus organization more deserving of this minister’s backing. The more support ROTC has from people like Mr. Stocking, the quicker it will be off campus. If, though, your main intention was to attract letters, then I chide myself for falling into your trap.
