All abuse wrong

In response to Vickie Snow’s column of Sept. 11, there are many instances and forms of child abuse where the child does not end up physically dying as a result of the mistreatment.

I doubt if those surviving children, who eventually will be or who are now adults, are grateful to their parents or wish to thank them just because they weren’t killed in the process of growing up.

Any abuse, whether physical and/or emotional, and regardless of the outcome, is always wrong and never deserves a “thank you.”
