Before Representative Lynn Martin, (R-Rockford), raises our taxes, she should take a long, hard look at the bloated military budget.

She could cut that in half, still have a more than adequate defense, eliminate the deficit, and give the hard-working middle class a tax cut.

That’s right, a tax cut! For you! You pay more taxes than many major corporations. You are the person paying for six new nuclear warheads a day when we already have over 20,000 megatons pointed at the other side of the world.

Thanks to Rep. Martin’s voting record, we are paying for more weapons than all of World Wars I and II, the Civil War, Vietnam and Korea combined, and she is planning on spending over one trillion dollars within the next three years on stuff we won’t ever need and couldn’t possibly use even if every country in the world declared war on us.

And now she wants to be senator. Tax increase my foot, tell the woman to cut our taxes and take it from the Pentagon.
