Quick thank you
August 26, 1990
Just a quick thank you to NIU for your remodeling project, that being the new library collections area to be located in the space of the former graduate lounge in the basement of Founder’s Memorial Library.
It gives me great pleasure to see this space (where the former graduate lounge was located) being used in such a responsible and thoughtful manner.
Actions such as adding more collection area in the library (where the former graduate lounge once was) shows your concern for the welfare of the students. This concern is greatly appreciated.
This space, once occupied by higher education students, helped enable them to further their intellectual capabilities, but surely, this space is better used as a “parking lot” for books—a library collections area.
Again, thank you. I am sure thoughtfulness, like that that went into the placement of the new collections area, will be used in the relocation of the graduate lounge.
