I am writing to inform Dr. LaTourette and all other interested parties why I, and by report, a number of other long-term Huskie boosters, are not contributing to the annual athletic fund raiser this year.

The answer, very simply, is that we are quite unhappy with the actions and attitude of the NIU Athletic Director. The unwise and unnecessary dropping of gymnastics plus the resignation of the associate athletic director are just the two most recent questionable actions.

When the athletic director situation is favorably resolved, I will be glad to resume my financial support for NIU athletics.
