Lacrosse wins 17-4

The cold weather of April 17 wasn’t enough to put a chill into the NIU lacrosse club.

In a match that never allowed Wheaton College to get close, the Huskies came away with a 17-4 win. Freshman goalie Jim Seeley turned in a stellar performance, holding Wheaton College scoreless the entire first half.

The most notable scoring came from midfielders Jim Corbett, who broke a three-game scoreless streak, and Mark Trusgnich.

The Huskies will host Lincoln Park Lacrosse Club on Saturday, April 21 at 2:00 p.m. The game will be played on the field west of Stevenson Towers.
