Interesting idea

Philosophy Forum is to be commended for its gutsy brand of intellectual activism against NIU and ROTC. The Forum recently amended its constitution to make it discriminatory, sending a loud and important message to the entire community: If this institution is going to allow one organizaton to violate their constitution, then they better be prepared to allow all other organizaions to violate it.
Amnesty International has quickly followed suit by also amending its constitution to make it purposefully discriminatory. I urge all other student organizations to become discriminatory now! Amending constitutions is fun and rewarding. Use your imaginations! Just be sure your amendment renders your constitution invalid and in direct violation of NIU’s constitution. You may want to use ROTC’s as a model, or you might even copy it.
Above all, keep the big picture in mind: Picture the SA trying to erase “recognition” of all 150-plus student organizations. But more seriously, picture the attention such actions will inevitably bring to this issue. Already there are other Chicago area media preparing to cover the story. Ultimately, someone will bake under the heat of the spotlight our solidarity will bring.
Student Organizatons unite and amend! Ban someone now!
