I am responding to Fred Heuschel’s series on the different aspects of Satanism. Today, I would like to challenge my readers to set aside whatever they’ve learned in their science and philosophy classes, because I’ll be writing strictly from a Christian perspective.

A few athiest professors and agnostic fellow classmates have challenged me on issues concerning God. I also admit that it would be easy to believe entirely what science and/or philosophy say about God, but only on the basis that one doesn’t know any better, or that a speaker sounds intelligent and convincing. But do we investigate first-hand both sides of the story, or do we believe someone who merely claims to know all the sides?

Regarding Satanism, you can assume that angels and demons are “figments of your imagination,” or you can read in the Bible Ephesians 6:12, which states, “For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark would and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms,” or John 8:44-47, in which Jesus states, “you belong to your father, the devil, and you want to carry out your father’s desire. He was a murderer from the beginning, not holding to the truth, for there is no truth in him…Yet because I tell the truth, you do not believe me!…He who belongs to God hears what God says. The reason you do not hear is that you do not belong to God.”

I challenge you to just think about this. Check things out for yourself before you believe everything you hear. Consider that maybe Satanic crimes are more than what philosophers claim as “all in the mind,” because this issue cannot be passed off as one of America’s temporary problems. It WILL get worse.

If indeed Satanism is a spiritual matter, then consider the testimonies of former Satanists (such as famous Christian comedian Mike Warnke) who claim that Jesus Christ is the only way out of it. And then consider what the words heaven, hell, and eternity mean.
