Give to hungry
November 29, 1989
I don’t belong to Freedom Now, nor do I wear the round spectacles. The fact of the matter is helping the hungry has nothing to do with being a campus radical—it has to do with understanding.
A couple of decades ago, man thought slavery was an economic necessity. A couple of months ago, who would have even thought the Berlin Wall would no longer repress hopes? What I am trying to say is stamping out world hunger is conceivable.
Are you aware that if you live in the residence halls, you can skip one meal a month for four months to help save the children, DeKalb’s older population and the hungry in general? If you have ever wanted to help, but felt you did not have the time, if you feel that our purpose here is to give what you can to make this a better place—skip-a-meal.
Sign up starts Dec. 4. Information can be obtained from resident assistants or floor presidents.
