Mill Race Inn has a variety of foods and atmospheres
November 30, 1989
A host of rather plump ducks can often be seen outside the Mill Race Inn waiting for satisfied patrons to emerge carrying a small, leftover sample of the food that lies within. Getting past these numerous birds isn’t easy but the effort is worth it, for the food at the Mill Race Inn is quite delicious.
The Mill Race Inn itself is divided into three basic areas while still remaining one individual establishment.
The first area is the Country Inn which is built around Geneva’s original blacksmith shop. The Inn serves savory American dishes for lunch and dinner as it has for nearly 50 years.
The second area is the Mill Grill which serves as a bar and open-hearth steak house. The club/pub atmosphere is relaxed and enjoyable, and the grilled items are available from lunch through late evening for those who enjoy a good late night snack.
The third area is the Gazebo. Connected with the main body of the establishment, the Gazebo sits on the edge of the Fox River. Its enchanting open decks hang over the water and creates an exciting yet tranquil atmosphere. Patrons can take advantage of the beverages served here along with serenity and nature from late morning until late evening.
