What’s it all about—Geraldo?
Last week, Geraldo Rivera again tapped into his never-ending cesspool of inane television talk show garbage. It was difficult to believe, let alone stomach, the fact that an hour-long broadcast could be based on the social phenomenon of males faking orgasms. Sick, Germaldo. Sick.
“Journalists” like Geraldo have been feeding the public this type of waste far too long. Why does this type of “journalism” exist? Because out there lies a public too often consumed by sex, gossip and socially insignificant rubbish. The show is a sad commentary on television journalism. The thirst for such information is an even sadder commentary on the ignorant public that keeps these people in business.
ivera and the rest of the Morton Downey Jr.s out there are sucking in the bucks, while the public is being inundated with news about wife swapping, fake orgasms and anything else that can keep afternoon and evening TV junkies happy. Publications like the National Enquirer are bad enough without the help of television.
Rivera went much too far with the whole premise behind his show on the faking of orgasms by men. The real icing on the cake came when he asked one of his guests, “How does it feel?” Well, Geraldo, here’s a question for you. Who really cares?
