10 strive for royalty titles

The top 10 Homecoming royalty candidates were chosen Sept. 23.
The candidates are sponsored by organizations and then interviewed by faculty, staff and administration. The interviewers look for such qualities as good communication skills, academic achievement, leadership, community service and NIU spirit.
The top 10 candidates are chosen after the interviews.
The NIU student body will make the final decision for the king and queen of the 1989 Homecoming by voting between Tuesday and Friday.
Royalty will be crowned Friday evening at the Homecoming talent show.
The 10 candidates chosen are as follows (alphabetically):
