The Northern Star attempts to reserve adequate space on this page for the public to write letters and, in certain circumstances guest columns, to reflect their concerns.

In order to keep space available for public voice, we need your help. If something is on your mind and you would like to get a message across to the rest of the university and the DeKalb area, write a letter to the Star. For exceptional subject matter, get in touch with us about writing a guest column.

The Star will try to print all letters received, but space limitation, libelous statements and repetition of the same subject might prevent some letters or portions of letters from being printed.

Guest columns are included when the author has some type of expert knowledge on a particular subject that is timely and of importance to Star readers.

All letters must include the author’s name, phone number, major, grade level and city of residence for non-students. Letters we are not able to confirm will not be printed.
