Weak backbones
April 30, 1989
The Bush administration has recently worked a “compromise” with congressional officials to provide the Contras with “humanitarian” aid.
This directly violates a recently signed treaty in which five countries (including Honduras) voiced their wishes to see the Contras dispersed.
To make sure that congressional Democrats strengthen their weak political backbones, a nationwide campaign has begun to send them calcium tablets. This is to make sure that another Central American Treaty isn’t torpedoed by the U.S.
To send a letter and the calcium tablets, address your inquiries to either Sen. Alan Dixon or Sen. Paul Simon in Washington D.C. Simply address it to them at the U.S. Senate in Washington. The zip code is 20510.
