Your own choice

To the GLU and “gays” in general: Thank you for the opportunity to express myself against something I vehemently disdain. Now, before you mistake me for the common, closed-minded bigot, let me say that as human beings, I hold nothing whatsoever against you. Your life is your own to do with what you will. However, I don’t believe you can blame your problems wholly on the heterosexual majority. No one asked you to come out of your “closet.” You made that choice. Whether you succeed or fail in whatever your endeavor may be is totally up to you. By “coming out,” you may have made it more difficult to achieve your goals. In a society that is not ready to accept your ideas, you cannot successfully further your cause by using half-hearted and manipulative tactics such as Jeans Day.
