We were shocked to see that The Northern Star allowed “Beachin‘ Times,” a Miller Beer insert, to be carried in its paper. There has been much concern over alcohol-related deaths of our students here at Northern. And there has likewise been concern over sexual harassment and assault. This issue of “Beachin’ Times” encourages and condones destructive behavior for oneself and others and is in direct opposition to many of the efforts taken by the University to reverse this situation. Why would you publish something like this?
