George Bush is doing a great job of defining the “liberal problem” in this country. I pledge my allegiance to George for doing so. As a symbol and gesture of allegiance to George, I propose we change the name of the diploma I’m about to receive in December from Liberal Arts and Sciences to Applied Arts and Sciences.

In 1984, George Orwell wrote, “Freedom is Slavery,” and I’ll believe him because he’s another famous George. Read my lips “Liberals are Slaves (LAS).” The least the L.A.&S. department can do is change the name of the degree most students receive here…for the times they are a changing.
