Writer misinformed
October 4, 1988
In response to the Sept. 23 letter by Mike Buonarroti, I am wondering where Mr. Buonarroti developed the idea that David Hardin’s work has infact been acquisitioned into one of the universities art collections.
Mr. Buonarroti’s meandering statements about the art collections on this campus, (as well as objects not in them) were disappointing as I read on to find that he has chosen to major in visual arts, yet portrayed Alexander Calder’s, “The Baron,” as a “Picasso imitation.”
Perhaps Mr. Buonarroti should spend more time studying the history of the visual arts if he ever wishes to “communicate visually,” rather than wasting his time writing misinformed and inappropriate letters to The Northern Star.
