Presence crucial
September 15, 1988
Compliments to Gerald O’Dell and his staff on the exciting environment they provided at the first two football games. It was organized, festive, and “Tent-A-Gate” is a wonderful idea. My compliments to the student body for turning out for the MTSU game; your presence is crucial to a successful program. The only group left to get behind the program, are the residents of Dekalb and Sycamore. You are the backbone of the program as we can only do so much from Chicago. The Chicago alums encourage all local residents to attend the remaining home games and do what we do at all the home games—Have Fun—that’s all we need for you to do. Have Fun. Home games should be the social event for the town, and gameday is the time for all to enjoy themselves behind Huskie Stadium. Think about it—having fun is not all that bad.
