DeKalb County Sheriff’s Police and Sycamore Police have recovered the large amount of highly dangerous and potentially fatal drugs that were stolen Sept. 5 from a parked ambulance near Sycamore.
Two Sycamore juveniles were arrested Wednesday and charged with burglary to a motor vehicle. They were being held pending bond.
The two police departments, in a cooperative effort, have recovered the tan and brown box that contained the drugs. A police report stated the police believe the box’s contents are still intact.
The police report also stated the departments have recovered a large quantity of other property so far in the investigation.
There was a series of about 10 other car burglaries in the Sycamore area during the Labor Day weekend which had been cleared at the time of the arrests.
The investigation into the ambulance and other car burglaries is continuing and other charges might be forthcoming pending completion of the investigation, according to the police statement.
