Satuday Sept. 17, the Huskie football team beat the Wisconsin Badgers for NIU’s first victory over a Big Ten conference opponent. Coach Pettibone, his staff and his players deserve to be congratulated for all their hard work. It’s time now for students, alumni and townspeople to show their support and attend the remaining home football games. Let’s create an atmosphere at our games that rivals the Big Ten’s. Come out and tailgate, cheer the team on at the game and help NIU continue its development as the place to be on a football Saturday. It’s the thing to do at other schools.
