Negative attitude

In response to the letter from David Pierce and Margaret Price on March 1, 1988: we would like to know if your article was a joke.

You complain about the high cost of tuition, yet you want “low-rise dorms with Spanish-style roofs.” Are you on drugs? Who do you think is going to pay for these stylish exteriors?

Here’s another question for you to ponder. If you’re a mature adult, why are you at a school you hate? Obviously there’s something that brought you here which you’re probably not taking full advantage of.

We usually read the letters to the editor in passing, but your letter infuriated us. We’re not the most loyal students ourselves, but we are happy to be here. There are flaws, but nobody’s perfect. There are too many negative attitudes at NIU as it is. Yours is not needed.

A university is represented by its students and if all students thought like you, then our university would be non-existent.
