Student Association presidential candidate Paula Radtke said setting long-term objectives is one of her goals.

Radtke said striving for student-controlled bond revenue facilities is one long-term goal she is working on as SA public relations adviser. She said student fees are heavily relied on for operating buildings, especially the Holmes Student Center.

She said she would continue working with the Illinois Student Association on legislation to limit tuition increases and to get a cap on tuition in state universities.

She said she would improve the effectiveness of the SA by working to ensure a smooth transition into the next year’s set of executives and by striving to improve communication both internally and externally.

Radtke would reinstate the Campus Leadership Council, which does not involve actions of the SA but forms strategies that can be communicated to organizations by their leaders.

In appointing a staff, she would look for people with leadership experience, a specific set of goals and commitment to reaching out to students not involved in the SA.
