1,150 students vote on first day of SA executive elections
March 30, 1988
An estimated 1,150 students voted Tuesday in the first day of the Student Association executive elections.
Elections commissioner Doug Moore said he expects the same number of students, if not more, to vote today. However, he said it depends on the weather.
In the fall senate elections, Moore said more people voted on the first day, but he expects the executive races to be different.
He said SA election have never been held on Tuesday and Wednesday before. “There are more people on campus on Wednesdays,” Moore said.
Presidential candidates are Joe Annunzio, Dale Bradley and Paula Radtke.
Gregg Bliss is the candidate for vice president. Treasurer candidates are Roger Beith and Diana Turowski.
Polling places are in the Holmes Student Center outside the Pow Wow Room, DuSable Hall and the first floor of the Founders’ Memorial Library from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Students must have their NIU identification cards and spring validation stickers to vote.
