I was disappointed to read the Star’s endorsement for SA Treasurer.

The endorsement was based on three “new” ideas: having the Finance Committee check how groups spend their funds, having a committee training seminar and encouraging groups to raise money. These are good ideas. In fact, they have been going on for years already with the exception that instead of a seminar this year, all Finance Committee members received an extensive budgeting packet that we discussed at several meetings.

Diana Turowski has been a vitally important member of the Finance Committee with a strong belief in fair funding for all organizations. She will stand fast for the students as treasurer and deserves your vote.
