Jackson exempt?
February 15, 1988
The Star does not want the Rev. Pat Robertson running for president because of his affiliation with religion. Why didn’t they say the same about the Rev. Jesse Jackson? Most of his grass-roots campaigning started in churches. His campaign contributions have been questioned because they are being solicited in churches, violating their tax-exempt status.
