Serves students
December 9, 1987
I could comment on many points made by Maria Kopriva in her letter addressing the way Phil Kessler serves the students. However, I will limit my response to her futile effort to attack his integrity.
Her statement Phil “is too busy addressing the needs of his resume” shows she has a minimal grasp of the requirements of his position and the dynamics of operating the second most-ridden mass transit system in Illinois.
Having appointed Phil last spring, I have been consistently impressed with his dedication and his commitment to ensure the student-run Huskie Bus Line remain oriented to the needs of NIU students.
Phil has continuously proven he places the interests of the student body well above those “of his resume.” I am confident a few lines on a resume could not possibly reflect the work of Phil and the SAMTB. If Phil was truly looking for a resume filler he is barking up the wrong tree.
I suggest Ms. Kopriva consider all aspects and dynamics of a situation before attempting to publicly berate another person.
