This letter is in response to Jim McDermott’s letter December 4.

How dare you! You say that we should live as Jesus and “concern ourselves with confronting social and economic injustices….” One of the social injustices with which God concerns himself is homosexuality. You say that a reputable priest (Richard Woods) accepts homosexuality and therefore men should do likewise. Unfortunately, even priests can make mistakes. In I Corinthians 6:9-10, the Bible clearly states that “…Neither the sexually immoral nor adulterers nor male prostitutes nor homosexual offenders nor theives not the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the Kingdom of God.”

I suggest that before you attempt to use God and distorted religion to justify your own shortcomings, that you see what God himself has to say.
