October 5, 1987
Faculty salaries, plans to offer a graduate degree off-campus, a synopsis of Illinois public universities and a review of Gov. James Thompson’s stance on different legislation will top the agenda of items affecting NIU at the Illinois Board of Higher Education meeting today.
The board, which is comprised of all junior colleges and universities, will meet at Highland Community College in Freeport, Ill., starting at 9 a.m.
The agenda calls only for items to be voted on or provided for information. The report on faculty salaries, Thompson’s actions, admission requirements and NIU’s plan to offer an off-campus degree are being provided only for information.
The IBHE will vote on items such as skills expected of incoming college students and the board’s financial report.
