Continued racism

In regards to “Thunderbolt”, the issue is not a censorship issue whatsoever. The issue is whether or not we need a racist magazine delivered on a continual basis to Founders Memorial Library.

A Northern Star editorial discussed why other pieces of literature, such as “Mein Kampf” or books by Mark Twain, which can be considered “offensive” are not removed from the library. The difference is that these were written and published once—there is not a continual barrage of racism coming from the authors.

Because “Thunderbolt” is a continual assault of racism, and Founders has had a subscription for 20 years, the subscription should be cancelled. There is enough offensiveness from back issues, and censorship is not what is of concern.
