DeKALB — After a great opening week of Huskie athletics, here is what you have to look forward to this week:

Football

After an impressive victory in their home opener against Illinois State, the Huskies look to keep their momentum Saturday at the University of Utah

The Utes are currently ranked 14 in the college rankings and are also coming off their own win.

Kickoff is set for noon Saturday in Salt Lake City.

 

Women’s Volleyball

Both fans and players of volleyball should be ready for a busy week. The Huskies’ week will start Tuesday when they travel to Chicago State University. The first set will start at 6.pm.

The week continues for the team on Saturday, when they travel to Dayton, Ohio for a weekend invitational. There, the Huskies will have three matches over the course of two days.

The first match is against University of Dayton at 11:30 a.m. followed by a game at 4 p.m. against University of Michigan. The last match will be against University of Missouri noon on Sunday.

 

Women’s Soccer

Looking for their first win this season, the women’s soccer team will have 2 games this weekend. The first game will be against the Illinois State Redbirds 7 p.m. Friday in Normal, Illinois.

Their second game is against Western Illinois University Sunday at 1p.m. in Macomb, Illinois

 

Men’s Soccer 

After losing by one goal in their first two games, the men’s soccer team seek their first win of the season during their home opener against Green Bay. Kickoff starts at 7 p.m Friday at the Soccer and Track and Field Complex

 

Women’s Golf 

The women’s golf team will be attending the Redbird Invitational this Sunday in Normal, Illinois. This is the Huskies’ first invitational of the season, and they look to start things off on the right foot. Tee off time is to be determined.

 

Men’s Golf 

The Men’s golf team will open its first season under the new head coach John Carlson on Sunday.

The Huskies will be attending the Badger Invitational in Madison, Wisconsin at the University Ridge Golf Course.

 

Women’s Cross-Country 

With an impressive outing in their last meet, the women’s cross-country team will look to repeat their results. Their next meet will be 5 p.m. Friday at the North 40 Championship Cross Country Course in DeKalb.
