“Press” is the title of rapper Cardi B’s latest single released May 31 and takes aim at tabloids making rumors about her, mainly about her scheduled divorce from her husband Offset of Migos fame being staged to add to the publicity surrounding his album “Father of 4.” The couple called off the divorce January 2019.

The track touts a Napoleon complex, as it’s only two and a half minutes but packs a wallop in its short runtime. Cardi spits her lines like insults on the verses and chorus.

“Cardi don’t need more press / kill ’em all, put them h*** to rest,” Cardi raps. “Walk in, bulletproof vest / please tell me who she gon’ check / murder scene, Cardi made a mess.”

The beat, produced by producers Key Wane and Slade Da Monsta, isn’t anything to write home about. The synth horns and trap drums blend in with most top 40 rap songs out there.
