DeKalb police have arrested a suspect in connection to a May 15 incident.

Shakiem Slaughter, 25, of Chicago, was charged with aggravated discharge of a firearm, unlawful possession of a firearm as a felon and aggravated unlawful use of a weapon.

At approximately 9:37 p.m. Wednesday around Hillcrest Drive and Crayton Circle, shots were reported to have been fired. Three suspects described as dark-skinned males fled the scene east on Hillcrest in an older model silver sedan, according to a May 15 NIU safety bulletin.
