Celebrate the warmer weather by going out to local events!

Take Back The Night

When: April 16th at 6 p.m.

Where: Egyptian Theatre

Support the NIU community by banding together against sexual assault. This event stands with sexual assault survivors as they march through the downtown.

Feel free to make your own signs or use those provided by the event.

Egyptian Theatre Presents Scotty McCreery Live!

When: Friday, April 19 at 8 p.m.

Where: Egyptian Theatre

Come see American Idol winner and country singer Scotty McCreery on tour, featuring songs “Five More Minutes,” “This is It,” “See You Tonight,” and “Feelin’ It.”

Garden Gate to Spring Antique Show

When: April 19 (9 a.m. – 5 p.m.) and April 20 (9 a.m. – 3 p.m.)

Where: Blumen Gardens at 403 Edward St

Make your way through downtown Sycamore and pursue local antiques and garden decorations in the quaint Blumen Gardens. Admission is $4 and canned items are accepted for food bank donations.

Drop-In Glidden Homestead Museum Tour

When: Every Tuesday, from April 2019 to January 2020 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Where: Joseph F. Glidden House on 921 W Lincoln Hwy

Take a guided tour to learn more about DeKalb, and get a closer look into the town’s history.

Cinco de Mayo Festival

When: May 5

Where: Behind Taxco Restaurant on 223 W. State St

Enjoy the last weekend before school ends with live music, drinks and authentic Mexican food.
