College of Visual and Performing Arts hosts annual celebration

By Amy Caboor

For the third year in a row, the College of Visual and Performing Arts is hosting a convocation in celebration of the arts! This event is free, open to the public and located on campus.

The celebration will take place in two parts. First, there will be performances by the students in the School of Music and the School of Theatre and Dance. Following the performances, the work of the students in the School of Art and Design will be on display.

This year the event will be in two locations; part one being in the NIU Music Building, and part two being in Jack Arends Hall (Visual Arts Building). The night will begin at 5:30 p.m. with music, theatre and dance performances, then attendees will be ushered over to the Visual Arts Building to enjoy art exhibitions, demonstrations, food and more.
