All episodes of “Daredevil” season 3 released Oct. 19, and they have inexplicably tied any loose threads left by the previous seasons by providing additional backstories of key characters and answering questions generated by seasons 1 and 2.

At this point in Netflix’s Marvel series “Daredevil,” we are aware that Matt Murdock is in fact alive, though viewers and a select few characters are the only ones cognizant of this. In several instances, Netflix has stayed true to the original nature of its Marvel series’ shows; “Daredevil” is a great example of this.

In season 1, Wilson Fisk was introduced as the primary antagonist and acted as the character “Kingpin” from the comics. Netflix also assembled Matt Murdock (Daredevil) and the show itself in close accordance to the comics, including backstory, character design, acquaintances, costume designs and his career as a lawyer.

As season 2 followed, some questions were answered, but numerous new antagonists entered the fray with additional concerns and complications beginning to form. When the Punisher revealed himself, a lot of his interactions with Daredevil coincided with those in the comics.

The prelude to “Daredevil” season 3 did not come until the end of the “Defenders,” another show in Netflix’s prolonged Marvel series. The events in the final episode confirmed there was to be a third season of “Daredevil” before an official trailer had even been released, and if anyone had read the original comics, they had a good idea of what would occur in the third season.

So, to all “Daredevil” fans who haven’t yet seen the third season but follow the comics closely, you may be pleasantly surprised and satisfied with the way Netflix has produced the newest season. You’ll be surprised because Matt Murdock’s battle with his inner demons has come full circle, leaving the fans unsure of what he’s capable of or what he can accomplish. Also, new storylines have been added on top of the old original concepts. You’ll be satisfied because the storyline hasn’t diverted from its origins. In fact, as mentioned before, all loose ends are tied, and various things you know to be true from the comics make an appearance in one way or another.

Personally, I think “Daredevil” overall has been a major success, and it’s clear from the 8.7 out of 10 the series received from IMDb users that many fans feel the same way. In my opinion, season 3 is the best of all, and as a fan of the comics, several of my theories about the show ended up being correct.
