Thunder From Down Under thrills the crowd

By Amy Geldean

Things got steamy Wednesday night at the Egyptian Theater, 135 N. Second St., as the members of Thunder From Down Under gave the audience the night of their lives.

Thunder From Down Under featured sensual dances performed by men with defined and chiseled bodies who were not afraid to get up close and personal with the ladies present.

The show started off with a countdown and strobe lights as “Run the World” by Beyoncé played. The five performers ran out on stage and into the audience. It was not long before clothing started to come off.

The men showed off their athleticism by performing back flips and pushups. Much of their dance routines consisted of thrusting and grinding.

The introductory performance ended with the men twirling their shirts in the air. They left little to the imagination when they ripped their pants off and stood there in thongs.

The host, Nathan, came out to inform the audience of the rules while still keeping things light-hearted. He joked the audience members could take off their own clothes if they wanted.

Each provocative dance incorporated a sexual fantasy, from Tarzan to Fifty Shades of Grey.

Tarzan wore a loin cloth and crawled around on stage, appealing to the animalistic side of the audience. He brought a woman on stage to dance with, and the performance ended with the woman on the ground and Tarzan on top of her.

Some dancers poured water on themselves to add to their sexual appeal. This made the audience go crazy, and the more enthusiastic they were, the more clothes came off.

Nathan invited three women come on stage to compete for a prize by playing sexually adventurous games. The runner ups got calendars and the winner got a free photo with dancers.

As the show came to an end, they incorporated dance moves from “Magic Mike” when they played “Pony” by Ginuwine.

“Thunder From Down Under” lived up to expectations as the perfect girls’ night out.
