DeKalb — The gymnastics and wrestling teams are set to host a Beauty and Beast themed event 2 p.m. Sunday at the Convocation Center.

Huskie Fans are encouraged to dress up as Belle or the Beast to get a chance to join the high five tunnel for the wresting and gymnastics team entrances.

There will be free t-shirts for fans who bring a Disney VHS tape to the meet. The VHS is not a donation, as fans will be able to keep the tape they presented for the t-shirt. There is a limit of one t-shirt per person while supplies last.

Students will also get a chance to “Feast with the Beast,” as the first 50 students will receive a free slice of pizza after they show their OneCard.

One special fan will also get a chance to receive an “enchanted rose” from a Huskie athlete and be labeled the sweetheart of the meet.

Admissions are free to all spectators for the Beauty and the Beast event and all gymnastics and wrestling meets this season.

Both teams will begin at 2 p.m. with the gymnastics team set to face Central Michigan at Victor E. Court and wrestling against North Dakota State in the main stadium at the Convocation Center.
