STEMFest 2017

By Northern Star Staff

Hey Huskies, get ready to play with lasers or dissect cow eyeballs at NIU’s STEMFest. STEMFest is a free event held from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, October 21 at the Convocation Center. You can check out all the activities available that promote science, technology, engineering and mathematics.

There will be booths for all ages where you can learn about anything from animation to robots. Many on campus organizations like the Society of Women Engineers and NIU Theater and Dance will be there. Along with booths, there is a main stage which will hold different presentations like Fun with Liquid Nitrogen.

If students or teachers are interested in helping out, the fest is looking for volunteers. You can find all information at http://www.stemfest.niu.edu/stemfest/index.shtml. In order to guarantee a volunteer T-shirt in your size, register by the end of today.

With questions, or to find out how to volunteer as part of a student group or organization, please contact Sara Finnigan at [email protected] or call 815-753-1272.
