DeKALB — Men’s tennis will be looking to bounce back this weekend after their March 8 loss against Marquette as they head east to Binghampton, New York to begin conference play against University at Buffalo and Binghampton University.

Saturday is the Huskies first conference game of the season, and it’s against Buffalo, a team they lost their past two matchups against.

Their first of the two losses were in the 2015 MAC Championships in which NIU was the No. 1 seed in the tournament but lost their opening match, 4-2, in front of their home crowd, and last season they lost, 5-2, again at home.

Binghampton

The Huskies will be playing Binghamton Sunday and have split their past two meetings against them with a home win in 2015 and a close victory of 4-3.

Binghamton won last year, 6-1, at home and eliminated the Huskies from playoff contention in the last regular season conference game.

The Huskies will square up against Buffalo at 1 p.m. Saturday and Binghampton at 10 a.m. Sunday in Binghampton, New York. After this weekend, the Huskies will have a 13-day layoff with their next game on April 1 against Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana.
