DeKALB — DeKalb County deputy officials responded to a call Saturday morning from a female, in the 1400 block of Twombly Road, who reported unlawful entry and restraint by a male neighbor.

At 6:30 a.m. officials arrived to the scene, and though investigation they learned Shahiar I. Ashraf, 33, of DeKalb, had entered the female’s residence. Ashraf was later found at his residence and transported to the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office Investigations Division where he was later charged with criminal trespass to residence and unlawful restraint, according to a Feb. 25 media release from the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office. 



Ashraf is held at the DeKalb County Jail and awaits a bond hearing set for 1:30 p.m. Monday.
