NIU’s Present Perfect Modeling Organization held their 32nd annual Afrocentric-themed fashion show Feb. 22 in the Duke Ellington Ballroom, located in the Holmes Student Center. The Afrocentric-themed fashion show honors Black History Month, where the models showcase African clothing along with other desirable outfits. Pop-up shops at the event honored local black businesses.

Present Perfect Modeling Organization was established in 1985, said Oba Daniels, president of the modeling organization.  Daniels has been a member of the modeling organization for about a year and a half. The goal of PPMO is to give students a family within a college setting while having fun celebrating passion, talents and confidence, Daniels said.
