First-generation college students
January 26, 2017
Senior sociology, Spanish and literature major Flavio Leanos-Macias attends the First-Generation College Student Information Session to socialize with fellow first-generation students.
“I think that there are benefits. Because not only are you the first one in your family and therefore, you have resources you can offer your siblings and so forth. As well as being able to go further than your parents, and giving back to the community and telling them about your experiences about being a first-generation student” said Leanos-Macias.
