Sophomore Days of Service to offer volunteer opportunities

By Northern Star staff

DeKALB – Sophomore Days of Service will offer second-year students a chance to help others.

First and Second-Year Experience will host the service days and their goal is to help students leave their mark on campus and in the community.

Students will attend an orientation and complete a reflection about the experience. This event is also honors engaged approved.

One of the first events will run from 4:30 to 6 p.m. Feb. 2 at Barb Food Mart, 1515 S. Street #28. Volunteers will help families shop for items.

Those interested in this event but cannot attend on Feb. 2, there will be more opportunities on Feb. 3 and 4. The next events will be held at TAIL Humane Society, 2250 Barber Greene Rd, and at Raven’s Husky Haven and Rescue, 27779 E. Five Points Road.
