The Northern Star acknowledged earlier this morning its “pass or fail” polls were not up to our standards, so we took down the polls with this format immediately after realizing our error. We apologize for not meeting our standards. One of the polls, asking if the Black Lives Matter protests was a pass or a fail, was overly simplistic and didn’t allow for a community dialogue. The Northern Star intends to use polls in the future for topics with choices that reflect the users options accurately, within reason.
