NIU President disagrees with 25 program resource allocations
November 28, 2016
DeKALB | President Doug Baker disagreed with 25 of 236 task force recommendations which determine each administrative programs’ resource allocation.
The report can be viewed here. Baker released the President’s Progress Report at about 3:15 p.m. today via NIU-affiliated email announcing his decisions on how NIU’s resources will be allocated.
Baker’s recommendations are final, unless it involves NIU’s budget, which will then need approval from the Board of Trustees, according to a Nov. 21 Northern Star article. According to the report, 42 programs still have a pending decision.
Freeman said where Baker disagrees with the task force recommendations, the task force didn’t have all the knowledge necessary to know the recommendations wouldn’t work, according to the article.
